Aadhaar linkage not a must for leprosy patients: minister

The Aadhaar card linkage won't be required for sickness patients to profit different government endowments in Maharashtra, social equity serve Rajkumar Badole said in the Assembly today..

Answering to a debateon the issue raised by Prashant Thakur (BJP) and others amid the Question Hour, Badole said the administration has issued directions in this association with locale experts.

"The sum total of what regions have been told that uncleanliness patients don't have to get the Aadhaar card linkage since they have a trouble in giving fingerprints," he said.

In any case, they can't be let well enough alone for the administration endowments since they don't have the Aadhaar card, he said.

"Consequently, the administration needs that sickness patients be prohibited from the Aadhaar linkage. A proposition to this impact will be sent to the Center," the pastor said.
