An airbase in Syria Homs area was hit by a rocket assault on Monday, leaving a few people dead and harmed, state-media revealed.

State news organization SANA said a few rockets struck the Tayfur airbase, otherwise called T4, close to the city of Homs in the early hours of Monday, reports the BBC.

SANA said the strike has caused setbacks, however did not give correct numbers.
